Welcome to The About Studio. As a spectator, or as a new client, you’re all very welcome.
At The About Studio it is of course key to have a beautifully lit image of yourself, that is fitting with the current trends and casting requirements. That’s a given. All that aside, the key that unlocks all the mystery of a great headshot, is the relationship that we have before the camera is even lifted.
The first impression is vital.
At The About Studio we are working together to create an honest, exciting, approachable representation of you.
We focus on how a photograph feels, not simply how it looks.
When a headshot or portrait is truly working, it gives a casting director, producer, or director a moment of human connection — a reason to stop, look again, and think a little longer than they otherwise would.
That pause matters.
Because that’s when the thought happens:
“I want to meet this actor. There’s something here that feels emotionally right for this script.”
If an actor can’t be present as themselves in front of the camera, how can they be expected to take on the emotional complexity of another character?
